"If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up." Daniel 3:17-18

This is one of my favorite places in the Bible. Many times we want God to show up and take the trouble away. But what if He doesn't? What then? If we can just have the faith of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to know that God is able to deliver us. BUT IF NOT, we will serve Him anyway and know that He has a plan. Many times we miss the blessing God has for us because we are trying to persuade God to deliver us and give us what we want instead of using us to glorify Him.

I pray that we all will rest and have peace to know that God is able and has a plan greater than us.

God, thank you that you are trustworthy. Please glorify yourself through us today.
