Happy New Year!
The last week of 2017 has been very interesting. One day this week we were making lunch and heard a loud crash of breaking glass from another cottage. We went to the door to see what was going on and were just in time to see one of the milk cows coming out of another cottage. When we told the missionary that a cow had been in his cottage, he ran to see what had happened. The cow had pushed a jar of mayonnaise onto the floor. Arafat, one of the students who lives in the v

Wonderful Gift!
Today at our Christmas Service the message was about God's great love for us. I truly felt God's love today. Towards the end of the service Annette came into the church. She came straight to me and sat with me. What a wonderful gift from God! I truly love this little girl. She is so special. (We have a picture this time. :-) )

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas from Uganda! We have had another blessed week. There have been some struggles, but our hearts are full today of God's blessings. On Monday and Tuesday we were blessed to help serve at a Youth Camp for the Esangalo youth who serve each Saturday. This was their time to be refreshed, learn, and be served. Below is a picture of some of the youth and some of the food. In Uganda it is a special meal if there is meat. The camp was teaching about purity. Some you

A Blessed Week
It doesn't really feel like Christmas when it is 90 degrees, but there has been a lot of Christmas around. There is a lady who comes each week to do laundry. We learned last time we were here that it is a blessing to families to have jobs to do. It is also an opportunity to minister to them. This lady has a younger sister which comes and a little boy. I enjoy playing with the children. The little girl is so sweet. The last time I was in Kampala I saw a cheap doll and cars

Praise God!
I saw her today!!! When we came on our first mission trip to Uganda, we met Annette. Every time there was church or Esangalo, she had my hand and was in my lap. She blessed my heart. When we came back in April and May of this year, I looked and looked for her, but never saw her. I have since stopped looking. You never know if they move away, or if something has happened to them. Today we were serving water at Esangalo, and I looked down. There she was, smiling as always

December 9, 2017
Monday - This has been an interesting week. On Monday, the auditors stayed until after dark. We rode our bicycles back to the cottage in the dark. I never realized how dark it was in the Village of Eden after dark. Usually we are in our cottage, not moving around. James said we were taking a romantic moonlight ride. I told him if he ever decided to plan something romantic, that a moonlight ride was not the thing. Then he said, "What is that?" Of course you cannot see

Busy Week
It has been a busy week. On Monday, I was blessed to help with this little guy. He slept in my arms while I worked on the computer. Wednesday, we headed back to Kampala for our second and final furniture shopping trip. The van was again loaded. The traffic in Kampala was worse than I remember. We sat in traffic for over an hour. Before we arrived in Kampala, there had been a downpour. Water was over the roads in many places causing traffic jams. Below are some pictures o
